Digitek
Digitek is a drug given to patients to treat congestive heart failure and to regulate the heart of people who suffer from a fast heart beat such as atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter. Recently, the FDA has issued a recall of the drug Digitek after reports of serious adverse reactions to the drug such as digitalis toxicity, severe cardiac/heart impairment and even death. The recall was due to the Digitek drug being manufactured with twice the approved level of the ingredients, which lead to patients getting twice the amount of the drug they were suppose to.
